Hello, I'm Will Hutchens, the gears behind Caffeinated PDX. Originally from Eastern Washington (Dayton), I now live under the cloudy skies of Portland, Oregon.

One of life's greatest pleasures is seeing new places and getting to know the people that make those places unique. I started this blog in August 2010 while studying Chinese at the Beijing Language and Culture University. I wanted to help people understand what it was like to spend a month in a country very different from my own.

I spend a lot of time  discussing coffee (if you haven't noticed, Portland is one of the world's leading places for great coffee), but from time to time I'm going to talk about adventure, art, music and other things I think you would find interesting. If you have a story you think is interesting that you want to share with the world, contact me. I'm always looking to learn and write about new things.

In my spare time I like to read books, drink a fair amount of coffee and study languages. I can speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese (Mandarin) and Italian. That said, I should get to writing. . .

Thanks for visiting, reading and commenting. If you would like to support Caffeinated PDX, you can do so here. If you enjoy the site, please share it with others!
